The Local Community Fund

Supporting local charities, this fund empowers our colleagues to deliver vital services to communities when it matters most.

Delivering local impact

This fund is currently closed and will reopen in 2026.

The Local Community Fund directly supports our mission to help people and communities at ‘Moments that Matter’. It provides crucial financial support to local organisations like those supporting health and wellbeing services, welfare support, youth, the elderly, arts centres and hospices.

The Fund actively supports local charities and communities across the UK, providing funding that enables them to deliver vital services and direct support to those who need it most. Through this fund, we are committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact within local communities.

We provide local organisations with the resources, support, and stability they need to continue their vital work and deliver positive change across the communities they serve.

External Round: Charities that meet our specific criteria are welcome to apply. Full guidance will be provided once the fund is open. Please note we receive many more applications than we can support. We recommend checking back regularly or following us on LinkedIn for news on when this round is open.

No, the Local Community Fund provides unrestricted funding only. This means our grants are not tied to specific projects but can be used where they are needed most. We believe this approach strengthens a charity’s long-term sustainability, reduces administrative burden and demonstrates our trust in the charity to deliver maximum impact.

The Local Community Fund does not support schools, colleges, universities, uniformed groups (such as Scouts or Girlguiding), statutory bodies, or charities that focus solely on animals.
