Homelessness can happen to anyone and for young people without family networks or stability, finding the right support can be life-changing. That’s why the cardfactory Foundation partners with Centrepoint through our Life Moments Fund on ‘The Bright Future Initiative’, a £1.5 million, three-year commitment to help young people across the UK build brighter, independent futures.

The partnership funds specialist mental health and wellbeing support, housing improvements and staff training to embed Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) across Centrepoints’ services. These environments go beyond shelter – they provide understanding, structure and compassion, helping young people recover from trauma and regain their confidence.

Since the launch of the initiative in 2025, the results have been inspiring:

  • 2,800+ young people supported through dedicated therapy and tailored services
  • 264 Centrepoint staff trained to provide trauma-informed care
  • 234 homes improved, transforming accommodation into welcoming, safe spaces

For the young people supported, this means more than just housing, it means a home, a routine and the belief that things can get better.

“These are life-changing moments,” says Pushpinder Gill, Head of the cardfactory Foundation. “The Bright Future Initiative ensures young people have access not only to a safe place to live but to the emotional and practical support that helps them thrive. We are incredibly proud to be part of this vital work through our Life Moments Fund grant with Centrepoint.”

Julie Milnes, Director of Fundraising at Centrepoint, says “Centrepoint are incredibly proud to partner with the cardfactory Foundation. Our partnership, the Bright Future Initiative, will have a transformational difference in helping young people to move beyond homelessness, supporting individuals and communications through life’s crucial moments. We’re anticipating that together we’ll help over 31,000 young people across the country. Being there for young people when it matters most is what this partnership is all about, and we’re so grateful for this support.”

Through The Bright Future Initiative, the cardfactory Foundation stands beside Centrepoint and the young people they support, helping to unlock potential, inspire confidence and build brighter futures across the UK.
