Ellie Saltrick has more than 13 years of experience in the charity and not-for-profit sector, having worked with organisations such as Changing Faces and the British Heart Foundation. She’s passionate about helping funding go further, strengthening community impact and making sure that support reaches the people and places who need it most.

In her role, Ellie oversees the Local Community Fund, which distributes around £500,000 a year to local charities, as well as the Colleague Match Fund, which doubles the money raised by cardfactory colleagues for causes they care about.

Day to day, Ellie focuses on making the Foundation’s funding as impactful as possible, reviewing applications, measuring outcomes and finding new ways to engage cardfactory colleagues in the work of the Foundation.

Ellie says; “What I love most about the Foundation is its reach. We support everything from small, local community groups to national charities tackling some of the biggest issues in society. And because colleagues are involved in nominating and supporting causes, the connection is deeply personal – it’s about people helping people.”

Looking ahead, it’s Ellie’s mission to expand engagement with colleagues and continue refining how grants are delivered and evaluated.

“This is such an exciting time to be part of the Foundation,” says Ellie. “We’re growing, learning and constantly finding new ways to make a positive difference. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that’s so committed to supporting people during life’s most significant moments.”
