We believe everyone deserves the chance to move forward with confidence, especially when life gets tough. Through our Bright Future Initiative with Centrepoint, we’re helping young people facing homelessness rebuild their lives, one step at a time.
The £1.5 million, three-year partnership funds transformational support for young people across the UK who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. At the heart of the programme is the creation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), spaces designed to help young people overcome trauma, build resilience and move toward independent living.
On any given night, Centrepoint supports over 800 young people who may have nowhere else to turn. For many, it’s not just about having a roof over their heads, it’s about feeling safe, heard and supported. The Bright Future Initiative helps make this possible by:
- Funding specialist one-to-one therapy and mental health support
- Training hundreds of Centrepoint staff to understand and respond to trauma
- Enhancing accommodation spaces, making them safe, welcoming homes
- Providing annual Christmas gifts, ensuring no young person feels forgotten during the festive season
Since the programme began in Spring 2025, we’ve already seen its impact. Thousands of young people have received specialist support, hundreds of staff have completed trauma-informed training and dozens of Centrepoint homes have been enhanced to create brighter, more positive living spaces.
“The Bright Future Initiative, in partnership with Centrepoint, is about meaningful, lasting change,” says Pushpinder Gill, Head of the cardfactory Foundation. “It’s about ensuring these young people move beyond crisis by giving them the skills, stability and belief necessary to rebuild their lives after homelessness and embrace the hope of a brighter future.”
