The cardfactory Foundation is delighted to announce the recipients of its 2026 Community Fund colleague nomination round, with 42 charities across the UK each receiving a £5,000 grant to support their vital work in local communities.

In total, £210,000 has been awarded this year – but behind the headline figure is something even more powerful… people.

Every single one of these charities was nominated by a colleague at cardfactory plc. From store teams and distribution centres to support office colleagues, it’s their local knowledge, lived experience and personal connections that have shaped where this funding goes.

This is funding driven from the ground up. Colleagues don’t just work in communities, they’re part of them. They know the hospices supporting families through the hardest moments, the mental health services changing lives quietly every day, and the local groups stepping in where need is greatest.

The Community Fund channels that insight directly into action, supporting organisations working across seven key areas: Hospices & End of Life Care, Cancer Charities, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Children, Families & Young People, Disability, Dementia & Carers, Community Support & Poverty Relief, and Health, Medical Research & Emergency Services.

By putting the power of nomination in the hands of colleagues, the Foundation ensures funding reaches the places where it can make the most meaningful difference, in every corner of the UK.

A heartfelt thank you goes to every colleague who took the time to nominate a charity close to their heart. Each nomination represents a story, a relationship, and a real understanding of local need.

Reflecting on this year’s funding round, Maureen Whele, Regional Manager at cardfactory plc, said: “I absolutely love being a small part of this process – what an amazing difference this amount can make to charities. It’s also fabulous to see the joy and excitement of the colleague and store teams whose charity has been awarded the grant.”

Ellie Saltrick, Fund Manager at the cardfactory Foundation, added: “The Community Fund is one of the most meaningful programmes we deliver because it is driven entirely by the people who know their communities best. Every nomination reflects a personal connection and a genuine understanding of local need. We’re incredibly proud to award £210,000 to 42 charities this year and grateful to every colleague who helped make these grants possible.”

Congratulations to all of the successful charities, and thank you to every colleague who helped shape this year’s fund. Together, you’ve turned everyday insight into real, local impact.
